Give to save lives
The gift you make to Best Friends–Utah is immediately put to use saving the lives of animals. Your donation provides adoption programs, spay/neuter services and more, all across the state. The money also supports the NKUT (No-Kill Utah) Coalition, a group of animal welfare organizations, led by Best Friends–Utah, working together to turn Utah into a no-kill state. Please consider making a gift today.
In addition, we accept in-kind donations at the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center (2005 S 1100 E) in Salt Lake City. You can drop off donations Monday through Saturday between 11 am and 7 pm, and Sundays from 11am to 4pm.

Other ways to give to the animals
License plate fund
Support spay/neuter efforts in your community by getting the Best Friends license plate for your vehicle. The plate costs just $25 a year, with all proceeds going to help the animals through Best Friends–Utah’s spay/neuter programs. Click here to get your plate online (https://mvp.tax.utah.gov/_/) - choose "Pets in Utah" from the list of Special Groups. Or, visit any DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) location in Utah and tell the clerk you want the Pets license plate. Have the old design and want to update? Take your vehicle registration and license plate into any DMV office. If your plate is in good condition, your decals will be replaced for free. If you need a new plate, you'll pay a $15 fee and your new plates will be mailed to you. Your number and registration date will not change.
You can help save lives with a simple stroke of your pen. Just check “Cat and Dog Spay/Neuter Community Program” on your Utah state tax return and put your taxes to work saving the lives of dogs and cats. The funds raised help low-income families spay or neuter their pets via local veterinarians throughout the state.
