NKUT Super Adoption success

Best Friends Pet Super Adoption
Salt Lake City adoption event saves hundreds of pets.
By Best Friends staff

Every pet adoption is cause for celebration, and that means there’s a whole lot to celebrate this week. On May 4 and 5, shelters and rescue groups from across the state came together for the NKUT Super Adoption, presented by BOBS from Skechers. By the end of the event, hundreds of pets had new homes.

Hosted by Best Friends as part of our No-Kill Utah (NKUT) initiative, the super adoption is a way of helping shelters and rescue groups find good homes for their animals through a fun, easily accessible public event. This year, some familiar characters joined in, including stormtroopers, droids and Jedi, who were there in honor of May the Fourth, also known as Star Wars Day.

You might say the Force was strong, because dogs and cats in all shapes and sizes (and one ferret), who began the weekend homeless, are now settling in with their new families. Here are just a few of our favorites.
